BACK TO BACK" WOOL CHALLENGE

Sunday 6th June
The 16th International "Back to Back" Wool Challenge and Apple Pie Bake-Off - a fund raising event for Breast Cancer Research is on again.

The Wool Challenge is to hand shear a sheep, spin the wool & knit a sweater for the shearer (from the sheep's back to the shearer's back) in the fastest time. The world record is 4 hours, 51 mins. Two teams (a team consists of 8 - a shearer & 7 spinners & knitters) will take up the challenge this year at The Turpentine Tree, 1665 Bells Line of Road, Kurrajong Heights. Shearing starts at 8 am. Who bakes the best apple pies using Bilpin apples? Find out on this day! Sean from Sean’s Panaroma in Bondi will decide. Along with an antique machinery display, lots of stalls, children's activities using fibre & BBQ cooked by the Mt. Lagoon Fire Brigade, there will be a Children's Art Competition. Come & enjoy a wonderful day in 10 acres of beautiful gardens, cheer on & sponsor a team member & help us raise the most money for the event in the world, as we did in 2009.
Entry is a gold coin

ALL money raised is for Breast Cancer Research (NSW Cancer Council)
